For many of our students, a European degree is the first step towards a long-term future in Europe. Here's how that path typically looks, using Germany as an example.
1. Study
Complete your degree while working part-time within the legal limits.
2. Find a job
After graduating in Germany you can apply for a residence permit of up to 18 months to look for a job that matches your qualification.
3. Work
Once you have a qualifying job offer, you switch to a work residence permit or an EU Blue Card.
4. Settle
After a period of qualified employment and contributions, and with German language skills, you can apply for a permanent settlement permit. Graduates of German universities can qualify sooner than other applicants.
Requirements differ from country to country and change over time. We map out the current route for your situation before you even apply.
